This picture shows a crepe winding machine in which paper is pulled forward by unwinders on the back. Winding mandrels can be clamped between the two servo-driven 3-jaw chucks onto which the paper is wound. The unwinders ensure a constant web tension.

This robotic winding system is used to process carbon fibers that are wound around a rotating mold. For this purpose, carbon fibers are wetted via a laying head attached to a robot using a slip system and wound onto a base body located on a rotary axis.
